2020 has also helped bring our attention to the fact that we have an opportunity to not only raise the voices in the disability community, but to offer our mic to black voices and stories and to bring attention to the many other areas that need support and a platform. We look forward to sharing more about those details in our preview episode dropping in the coming weeks.
We wanted to expand the conversations on our show to include those out there doing the hard work with us. We want Advocate Like a Mother to be the the “Community’s Podcast”, where you get the opportunity to share the good work of others that you know or want to bring awareness for.

With our new format we are looking to take the podcast to another level by doing our best to include not only stories and resources from the disability community, but stories in that community from those who have either found themselves in the margins as the result of ableism, racism, classism, and other social injustices. And, from those who are working in spaces to bring peace, justice, and thriving well-being for our families and communities.
